Charity Fridge Magnets

During the lockdown, I have been making rainbow fridge magnets in an effort to help fundraise for the Trussell Trust ( The Trussell Trust are one of the UK’s leading food bank charities and are helping deliver emergency food parcels to those in need during this current crisis. They also actively work on pressuring the government to provide enough social support to eradicate the need for food banks.

UPDATE: Together, we raised £200! Thank you so much to everyone who donated. What an incredible achievement from our little community.

The Creative Feminists

I was interviewed by Hannah Yager, an incredible feminist educator and curator, and participated in her Creative Feminists project. The project aims to connect similar folks online and support and uplift one another in a safe space. Please go and check it out- either on instagram @thecreativefeminists or

Hannah also has an excellent blog that is worth checking out too. She is a master of funky playlists and speaks eloquently on arts and culture. Check it out here-

Black Lives Matter Raffle with Felt Fancy

The lovely Eleanor from Felt Fancy (@feltfancy) organised a huge raffle to fundraise for Black Lives Matter. Alongside other makers, I donated a pair of earrings to add to one of the prize bundles. The raffle has already raised over £800.

Friendship Bracelets

After the success of the charity fridge magnets, I wanted to launch another product to help fundraise. This time for the Exist Loudly Fund, which you can check out and support here:
The project aims to support Black Queer young people in the UK, by providing them with mentoring sessions, meet-ups, community and consistent support.

UPDATE: We raised £50 for the Exist Loudly Fund in just three weeks!

The Creative Feminists Podcast

I had a lovely time talking to Hannah over at the Creative Feminists. We covered a range of topics from small town life to coping with the pandemic and imposter’s syndrome. Do go and check it out if you fancy a watch over a cuppa.

Creative Feminists x Confetti Collaboration

As part of the podcast series, Hannah is doing one collaboration a month with one of the Creative Feminists. I am very proud to say that Confetti is the first one! Together, we designed some charity ‘Feminist bracelets’. They are £6 each, with £1 from every order being donated to the Emergency Relief Fund for Yemen by Save the Children. They are available for a limited time only (10th July – 10th August) so make sure you snap one up before they’re gone!

Amber’s Care Packages

Amber’s Care Packages is an amazing small organisation on Instagram which sends small parcels out to disabled and mentally unwell young people. She curates really beautiful packages, bursting with fun and care. I was honoured when she approached me for some donations, which I happily gave. So it’s nice to think of some Confetti bits heading off to their new homes soon.

Coffee with Confetti

The launch of my live podcast “Coffee with Confetti”, snuck in right at the end of July. Our first guest was the fabulous Abbie of Sew by Line (@sew_by_line), where we chatted about her latest products, getting through lockdown and our tips for makers just getting started. You can catch up on all episodes over on my insta page (@confetti_create) under the IGTV section.

South London Makers Market

I was very lucky to be accepted into the South London Makers Market for their virtual market on 9th August. It was an amazing opportunity and I learnt so much from the organisers- Liv and Daisy. I would highly recommend getting involved in and shopping at their markets (@asouthlondonmakersmarket). There is always such an incredible selection of makers and small business- I know where I’ll be doing my Christmas shopping!

The First Confetti Photoshoot

In August, we had the first ever Confetti photoshoot! This was an incredible day, where there was a lot of confetti and even more fun! We were lucky to have Lotty Staples, a very talented local photographer, join us later in the day, and who took some amazing shots. I’m very grateful to all my gorgeous friends for modelling on the day and being so supportive (you’re the best).

Confetti joins Etsy

After chatting to a lot of other small makers, I finally decided to take the plunge and jump into the world of Etsy. And I’m so glad I did! I have absolutely loved setting up my own online store and also finally having a place for reviews. You can check it out here:

Shop the Season

Alongside Richeldis of Stitches by Richeldis, I helped organise a new virtual market called Shop the Season! We managed to curate an amazing line up of makers in just two weeks and had a fab time working with them. We focused on autumnal and Halloween goodies and are so proud of how it went on the day. You can still check out all the stalls over on the instagram account @shop.the.season.
